The holes where the crank handle is inserted in the two dials tends to fill with sawdust so that the crank handle can not be fully inserted in the dial. If you see this is the case, dig and blow out the dust prior to inserting the crank handle.

TABLE ROUTER SAFETY
· ALWAYS FEED STOCK FROM RIGHT TO LEFT PAST THE BIT ON THE SIDE OF THE BIT THAT FACES THE FRONT EDGE OF THE TABLE. NEVER ATTEMPT TO FEED STOCK FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. YOU CAN DO THAT AT HOME BUT NOT HERE.
· NEVER TRAP STOCK BY ATTEMPTING TO FEED STOCK BETWEEN THE FENCE AND THE BIT. CATAPULTING PARTS ACROSS THE SHOP IS PROHIBITED.
· WHEN ROUTING SMALL PARTS, USE JIGS, FIXTURES, COPING SLEDS, ETC., TO KEEP HANDS AWAY FROM THE BIT. BLEEDING ON THE ROUTER TABLE IS PROHIBITED.
· WHEN ROUTING, ALWAYS KEEP THE STOCK IN CONTACT WITH A BIT’S BALL BEARING OR THE FENCE. NEVER ROUT FREEHAND. IF YOU FEEL LIKE YOU WANT TO ROUT FREEHAND, INVITE OTHERS IN THE SHOP TO WATCH THE SHOW FROM A SAFE DISTANCE.
